Walking on the Moon

Have you even wondered how things happen?
How you do things?
How you somehow managed to survive certain times?

It's like a dream.
It's like walking on the moon.

That's how this past week has been. Last week as well, but especially this week.
In-sane.

Music First Lines.

I'm just trying to keep my mind focused on something besides... Besides "that" for more than 2 minutes.

1: Put your music player on shuffle.
2: Post the first line from the first 15 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
3: Put the songs in bold when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
5: If you like the game, post your own.

*** I wanted to put the first two lines... Also, When someone gets it/if I want to put up the results, I'll put it underneath it afterward.

1. Oh sinners, let's go down, let's go down, let's go down.
Oh sinners, let's go down, down to the valley and pray.

2. I traveled through the atmosphere as a wall of feedback climbed,
The pegs were gold, the band was old, they played in half time.

3. The rain gonna come through the window, pain will come,
Black, white, rich, poor, it's the same old drum.

4. Well I'm a sea-sick sailor on a ship of noise,
I got my maps all backwards and my instincts poisoned.

5. They tell you where you need to go,
They tell you when you need to leave.

6. What started as a whisper,
Slowly turned in to a scream.

7. My grades are down from A's to D's,
I'm way behind in history.
(Hahahahahaha!!! I completely forgot about this song.)

8. Nothing is ever as good as it was.
And what's good for your soul will be bad on your nerves.
If you reverse it.

9. Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future.

10. Getting too busy to make amends,
I should try to make it right.

11. I’ve been thinking ‘bout things, For a long while,
I’m feeling so calm, I’ve got a big smile.

12. This is your night, everything is right,
Come and light up my life, it's a summer night.
(How embarrassing!!!)

13. High above the mucky-muck, castle made of clouds,
There sits Wonderboy, sitting oh so proudly.

14. I want a little taste of you,
When I can.

15. Me and all my friends,
We're all misunderstood.

Well, whether you do this or not, it was semi-successful.
Love you all.

Why...

The world we live in... It's... It's... It's so mixed up. Messed up. What is wrong with the world today...?

I wish I understood...

Only two hours ago I got a call from one of my good friends. The news, however, wasn't good.

One of our friends killed himself this morning.
My friend who called saw him quite often and nothing seemed wrong at all.
When I knew him, he was always happy and loving life... or so I thought.

He was an exceptional guitarist, and that is an understatement. He was going to school on scholarship for it. And his family is great.

He was never one of my extremely close friends, but I feel I knew him better than a lot of people...

I can't even grasp the concept. I wanted to think my friend was joking. I knew she wouldn't be about this sort of thing. He appeared happy the last time I saw him and said life was good and had no complaints...

I wish I understood...

This is the fourth time I've heard of someone's suicide in the past 3 months. This is the second friend I've lost from suicide in a year.

"Time Won't Save Our Souls"

Wondering how life fits into itself.
Time.

Bits and pieces here, bits and pieces there.
All welding together. Meshing together.
Joining in a celebration.

Sure it has its broken roads and tumbles, but all in all, I am learning I can find a reason to smile.

I am alive.

Confusion exists. But only as a temporary dissatisfaction.
People sometimes contribute.
Count it as an entertainment, if you will.

Ups and downs. All contribute.

I am learning to be happy.
I am happy.

Free writings. Fast thoughts. Flowing.
A lot of information flooding in and out.
Mandatory, and others, not so.
All contribute to what makes me who I am.

I have to admit I don't like some of it. Who am I? Why do I do the things I do?
I'm still learning about myself.
Contributions.

I do know I am on my way to become who I feel I should be.

I am happy.

I am alive.
